Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the RacketZone app and the website www.racketzone.app, operated by RACKET ZONE LTDA, CNPJ 53.000.453/0001-84, headquartered in Florianópolis - SC, Brazil ("RacketZone", "we"). By creating an account or using the service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the service.

2. The service

RacketZone is a platform for racket sports players (tennis, beach tennis, padel, table tennis, squash, pickleball, and badminton) that allows you to, among other features:

• Record match results and track personal statistics;
• Find nearby players and matches based on location;
• Interact in communities, groups, and a social feed;
• Organize private tournaments and rankings for personal record-keeping;
• Receive AI-generated analyses and monthly recaps (Premium features);
• Find courts and sports venues on a collaborative map, with information added by users and by the venues themselves;
• Create and manage the page of a club or venue, with courts, photos, facilities, contacts, and prices;
• Book court slots at venues that have enabled bookings in the app.

The service is provided "as is" and may be improved, modified, or discontinued, in whole or in part, at any time.

3. Registration and account

To use RacketZone you must create an account with true, complete, and up-to-date information; you may also sign in via Google or Apple. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity in your account.

The service is intended for people aged 18 or over. Minors may only use it with the consent and under the supervision of their parents or legal guardians, who are responsible for such use. The processing of children's and adolescents' data follows their best interest, under Article 14 of the LGPD and applicable law.

4. Acceptable use

When using RacketZone, you agree not to:

• Post content that is illegal, offensive, discriminatory, defamatory, or that violates third-party rights;
• Harass, intimidate, or harm other users, on or off the platform;
• Record false results with the intent to manipulate statistics or mislead other users;
• Use the service for unauthorized commercial purposes, spam, or harvesting third-party data;
• Attempt to access restricted areas, reverse-engineer, or compromise the platform's security;
• Add a venue that does not exist, is a duplicate, or contains information you know to be false;
• Add a third party's home or private venue without the authorization of the person who lives there or manages it;
• Post another person's phone number, email, or other personal contact without their authorization;
• Post photos you do not have the right to use or that show people without their authorization;
• Request to manage a venue you have no real connection with;
• Make bookings you do not intend to use, or tag other people in bookings without their knowledge.

Violation of these rules may result in suspension or deletion of your account, without prejudice to applicable legal measures.

5. User content

You retain ownership of the content you post (posts, comments, photos, results, venues, and club information). By posting it, you grant RacketZone a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute that content within the platform, to the extent necessary to operate the service.

By posting photos, you confirm that you have the right to use them and, when they show people, those people's authorization.

We may hide, correct, or remove content that violates these terms or applicable law, at our discretion and without prior notice, including based on reports (see "Reports and notices").

6. Court map and venue pages

The court map is collaborative. Each venue's information (name, address, map location, courts, photos, contacts, prices, and access rules) is provided by users and by the venues themselves, and RacketZone does not verify its accuracy in advance. The "Added by the community" and "Managed by the venue" badges show where the listing came from, not an official verification. Prices, hours, and conditions of use are set and maintained by each venue.

By adding or editing a venue, you confirm that the information is true and that you are authorized to publish it. Private venues, such as homes and condominiums, should only be added by the person who lives there or manages them, or with that person's authorization.

A venue's contacts are visible to all users unless the organizer chooses to show them to members only. Published contacts should only be used for matters related to the venue.

Users can confirm that they have played at a venue. This confirmation may be shown to other users with your profile photo and first name, and you can undo it at any time.

RacketZone may hide, correct, or remove venue listings based on reports, including automatically when there is enough indication that the venue does not exist, has closed, or is a duplicate.

7. Clubs, venues, and organizers

The organizers of a club or venue are responsible for the page's information, the access and booking rules, the management of members, and their use of any player data they access through the app, such as bookings, schedules, reports, and membership requests. This data may only be used to manage the venue, and organizers must comply with the LGPD in any use outside the app.

For venues added by the community, a person with a real connection to the place (for example, owner, partner, manager, employee, or coach) may ask to manage it. The current organizers are notified and can accept or decline. If no one responds within 14 days, the request is accepted automatically, and the previous organizers remain organizers. Declaring a false connection violates these terms, and the transfer may be reversed.

8. Court bookings

RacketZone is a scheduling tool between players and venues. The app does not sell court time or process payments for it. Price, payment method, rules of use, cancellation, and no-shows are set by the venue and arranged directly with it.

By tagging other players in a booking, you confirm that they know about it and agree to take part. The venue's organizers and the tagged players can see the booking.

In-app bookings are available while at least one of the venue's organizers has an active Premium plan. If that stops being the case, new bookings may become unavailable; existing bookings remain valid and can still be viewed and cancelled.

9. Premium plan

RacketZone offers a free plan and a paid plan ("Premium") that includes additional features such as advanced statistics, filters, AI insights, advanced notes, and full head-to-head.

For organizers, Premium also enables court bookings at the club or venue they manage. Members can book without Premium.

Premium purchase, billing, renewal, and cancellation are processed by the app stores (App Store and Google Play) under those platforms' policies. Current prices and conditions are displayed at the time of purchase.

Under Article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code, you may exercise the right of withdrawal for distance purchases within 7 days. Because purchases are made through the app stores, refund and cancellation requests also follow the App Store and Google Play policies and must be handled directly with them.

10. Location and in-person meetings

Features for finding nearby players and matches depend on location sharing, which you can grant or revoke in your device settings.

RacketZone connects players, clubs, and venues. We do not organize or supervise in-person meetings or matches, and the use of courts and participants' conduct are the responsibility of each person and of the venue, subject to the "Court bookings" section. We recommend caution when meeting people you met online.

11. Reports and notices

Users can report venues, photos, posts, comments, profiles, and communities that violate these terms or the law through the app.

Non-users, or anyone affected by content posted by someone else (for example, a home address, a phone number, or a photo), can notify us at sac@racketzone.app, indicating the content, the reason, and a way to contact them.

We review reports and notices and may hide the content in the meantime. Where appropriate, the author of the content may be notified and given the chance to respond. The outcome is communicated to the person who sent the notice.

12. Intellectual property

The RacketZone brand, logo, design, code, and other platform elements are owned by or licensed to RACKET ZONE LTDA. Reproduction without prior express authorization is prohibited.

13. Third-party links

The platform may contain links to third-party websites, app stores, or services. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those services. We recommend reading each one's terms and policies before using them.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RacketZone is not liable for indirect damages, loss of profits, data loss caused by unforeseeable events or force majeure, temporary service unavailability, or damages arising from interactions between users, on or off the platform.

Statistics, AI-generated insights, and recaps are for informational and recreational purposes only, may contain inaccuracies, and do not replace your judgment or constitute professional, sporting, or medical advice.

Venue and club information is provided by users and by the venues themselves and may be outdated or inaccurate. Confirm prices, hours, and conditions directly with the venue.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights that cannot be waived under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code and applicable law.

15. Termination and account deletion

You may delete your account at any time in the app settings or via sac@racketzone.app. After deletion, to preserve the integrity and accuracy of other users' statistics, the name you used remains linked solely to the matches in which another player recorded you as their opponent; your other personal data is removed or anonymized, except where retention is legally required. Venues you added may remain visible on the map, since information about the place is useful to other users, but your personal data linked to them is removed or anonymized. We recommend cancelling your future bookings before deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property and limitation of liability) remain in effect after termination.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Brazilian law. The courts of the District of Florianópolis - SC, where RACKET ZONE LTDA is headquartered, are chosen to resolve any disputes arising from these Terms, except that, in consumer relations, the consumer retains the right to bring an action in the court of their own domicile under the Consumer Protection Code.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email, and the last-updated date at the top of this page will be revised. Previous versions can be requested at sac@racketzone.app. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
