Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the RacketZone app and the website www.racketzone.app, operated by RACKET ZONE LTDA, CNPJ 53.000.453/0001-84, headquartered in Florianópolis - SC, Brazil ("RacketZone", "we"). By creating an account or using the service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the service.

2. The service

RacketZone is a platform for racket sports players (tennis, beach tennis, padel, table tennis, squash, pickleball, and badminton) that allows you to, among other features:

• Record match results and track personal statistics;
• Find nearby players and matches based on location;
• Interact in communities, groups, and a social feed;
• Organize private tournaments and rankings for personal record-keeping;
• Receive AI-generated analyses and monthly recaps (Premium features).

The service is provided "as is" and may be improved, modified, or discontinued, in whole or in part, at any time.

3. Registration and account

To use RacketZone you must create an account with true, complete, and up-to-date information; you may also sign in via Google or Apple. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity in your account.

The service is intended for people aged 18 or over. Minors may only use it with the consent and under the supervision of their parents or legal guardians, who are responsible for such use. The processing of children's and adolescents' data follows their best interest, under Article 14 of the LGPD and applicable law.

4. Acceptable use

When using RacketZone, you agree not to:

• Post content that is illegal, offensive, discriminatory, defamatory, or that violates third-party rights;
• Harass, intimidate, or harm other users, on or off the platform;
• Record false results with the intent to manipulate statistics or mislead other users;
• Use the service for unauthorized commercial purposes, spam, or harvesting third-party data;
• Attempt to access restricted areas, reverse-engineer, or compromise the platform's security.

Violation of these rules may result in suspension or deletion of your account, without prejudice to applicable legal measures.

5. User content

You retain ownership of the content you post (posts, comments, photos, results). By posting it, you grant RacketZone a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute that content within the platform, to the extent necessary to operate the service.

We may remove content that violates these terms or applicable law, at our discretion and without prior notice.

6. Premium plan

RacketZone offers a free plan and a paid plan ("Premium") that includes additional features such as advanced statistics, filters, AI insights, advanced notes, and full head-to-head.

Premium purchase, billing, renewal, and cancellation are processed by the app stores (App Store and Google Play) under those platforms' policies. Current prices and conditions are displayed at the time of purchase.

Under Article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code, you may exercise the right of withdrawal for distance purchases within 7 days. Because purchases are made through the app stores, refund and cancellation requests also follow the App Store and Google Play policies and must be handled directly with them.

7. Location and organized matches

Features for finding nearby players and matches depend on location sharing, which you can grant or revoke in your device settings.

RacketZone only connects players. We do not organize, supervise, or take responsibility for in-person meetings, matches, court bookings, or participants' conduct. We recommend caution when meeting people you met online.

8. Intellectual property

The RacketZone brand, logo, design, code, and other platform elements are owned by or licensed to RACKET ZONE LTDA. Reproduction without prior express authorization is prohibited.

9. Third-party links

The platform may contain links to third-party websites, app stores, or services. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those services. We recommend reading each one's terms and policies before using them.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RacketZone is not liable for indirect damages, loss of profits, data loss caused by unforeseeable events or force majeure, temporary service unavailability, or damages arising from interactions between users, on or off the platform.

Statistics, AI-generated insights, and recaps are for informational and recreational purposes only, may contain inaccuracies, and do not replace your judgment or constitute professional, sporting, or medical advice.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights that cannot be waived under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code and applicable law.

11. Termination and account deletion

You may delete your account at any time in the app settings or via sac@racketzone.app. After deletion, to preserve the integrity and accuracy of other users' statistics, the name you used remains linked solely to the matches in which another player recorded you as their opponent; your other personal data is removed or anonymized, except where retention is legally required. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property and limitation of liability) remain in effect after termination.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Brazilian law. The courts of the District of Florianópolis - SC, where RACKET ZONE LTDA is headquartered, are chosen to resolve any disputes arising from these Terms, except that, in consumer relations, the consumer retains the right to bring an action in the court of their own domicile under the Consumer Protection Code.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email, and the last-updated date at the top of this page will be revised. Previous versions can be requested at sac@racketzone.app. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
